--> Puisi: The Daffodils

as-salam

This is not Daisy.

OMG!

Oh ya! By any chance, do you recognize this flower? Its Daffodils.

And what's so great abut it? Pffft! lol. I am actually working on my literature assignment with my partner and I have this to analyse. Wish me luck ya? The poem is I Wandered Lonely As A Cloud by William Wordsworth and I gotta tell you that it's a brilliant master piece.

This poem talks about the happiness and jovial feelings that the persona had when he/she was watching over a giant host of daffodils. Instead of describing the flower as yellow, the persona illustrates it to be golden in colour and the host looks like Milky Way with sparkling and twinkling look.

If you are too lazy or your internet connection is just too slow to log on into the linked website above, I am proudly feature you with the poem below. Credits to Sir Rizal ya? lol

I Wandered Lonely As A Cloud

I wandered lonely as a cloud

That floats on high o'er vales and hills,

When all at once I saw a crowd,

A host, of golden daffodils;

Beside the lake, beneath the trees,

Fluttering and dancing in the breeze.

Continuous as the stars that shine

And twinkle on the milky way,

They stretched in never-ending line

Along the margin of a bay:

Ten thousand saw I at a glance,

Tossing their heads in sprightly dance.

The waves beside them danced; but they

Out-did the sparkling waves in glee:

A poet could not but be gay,

In such a jocund company:

I gazed---and gazed---but little thought

What wealth the show to me had brought:

For oft, when on my couch I lie

In vacant or in pensive mood,

They flash upon that inward eye

Which is the bliss of solitude;

And then my heart with pleasure fills,

And dances with the daffodils.

William Wordsworth

Wish me luck for my presentation people! Thats why I love you! Sarangahe!

Hope you get it...till then, that is how
