--> iNews: Hapus Jaminan Jawatan Guru Pelatih IPG

Berita ini telah tersebar meluas dan mendapat pelbagai reaksi daripada guru-guru pelatih di seluruh Malaysia khususnya pelajar di Institut Pendidikan Guru (IPG). Seperti yang terkandung dalam artikel di bawah, Kemeterian Pendidikan merancang untuk memansuhkan jaminan jawatan automatik yang diberi kepada guru pelatih di IPG. Sila rujuk artikel.
Saya sebagai seorang guru pelatih di IPG Kampus Bahasa Antarabangsa & Universiti Putra Malaysia turut terpanggil untuk memberikan beberapa pendapat peribadi untuk sekadar perkongsian. Pertama, rata-rata komen di Facebook berbunyi "CGPA 4.00 tak semestinya bermaksud pelajar tersebut boleh mengajar". Betul...tetapi, ada satu komen yang membalas "Menteri tak cakap pun yang 4.00 sahaja boleh mengajar. Yang ada keperibadian pun diambil kira. Maknanya, jika CGPA 4.00, tapi akhlak out, tak dijamin juga" Betul tu. Jadi, apa yang kita nak takutkan? Bukankah guru adalah role model kepada pelajar? Jadi, asas yang diambil kira sebelum guru pelatih tersebut diserap sebagai guru adalah kukuh. InsyaAllah, kalau akhlak & sahsiah kita baik melambangkan keperibadiaan seorang guru, tidak ada alasan untuk kita tidak diserap.

Kedua, ramai yang tidak setuju jika kita bandingkan sistem pendidikan di Finland. Bercakap mengenai soal perbandingan, hampir kesemua isu akan menjadi sukar termasuk isu sistem pendidikan percuma dan sebagainya. Namun, jika perbandingan yang dibuat adalah bertujuan untuk memantapkan sistem pendidikan, apa salahnya? Tak perlu dinafikan, rakyat Malaysia mahukan sistem pendidikan yang mantap, 1st class katanya, tetapi jika tiada tindakan yang diambil, maka tiada pembaharuan di situ. Betul? Tapi jangan risau, perancangn ini masih dalam peringkat perbincangan dan penelitian mendalam akan dijalankan. Jadi, diminta semua jangan gelabah sambil makan popcorn. Sesuatu sistem itu tidak akan dijalankan sewenang-wenangnya. Sabar.

Ketiga, mengenai 'open market'. Sejujurnya aku cakap, aku amat suka dengan konsep ni. Jangan nak tipu....ramai di antara guru pelatih yang tidak langsung berminat untuk berkhidmat sebagai guru tetapi marah jika sistem 'open market' dijalankan. Sebab? Sebab tiada jaminan kerja. Jika anda memenuhi kriteria sebagai guru, maka tidak perlu runsing, segalanya akan berjalan lancar, insyaAllah. Kalau 'open market' dilaksanakan, maka mereka-mereka itu (yang tidak mahu menjadi guru) tidak perlu terikat dengan kontrak selama lima tahun. Masih banyak lagi guru pelatih di universiti yang mahukan tempat anda. Mereka ini tiada jaminan jawatan tetapi mereka bersungguh-sungguh. Kita dapat elaun dan jika sistem 'open market' dilaksanakan, kita masih mempunyai kelebihan di situ. Kan...? Tapi lain la kalau elaun akan dimansuhkan menjadi PTPTN? Dia sahaja yang tahu. Elaun tu amanah, jadi guna di jalan yang sepatutnya. Jangan jolly je, tetapi marah bila tak diserap. 

Keempat, pihak kementerian perlu duduk di meja bulat dan berbincang bersama para pendidik untuk sama-sama memantapkan sistem pendidikan kita. Daripada segi pengambilan guru sehingga silibus yang mampu memenuhi kehendak semua pelajar daripada setiap peringkat umur. Untuk memajukan sistem pendidikan, guru-guru perlu bersuara tentang keperluan mereka di sekolah, keadaan sebenar. Kita tidak boleh harap 100% kepada pihak kementerian, kita perlu bantu mereka. Mengapa? Sebab kita yang terlibat secara langsung di sekolah ini yang lebih tahu keadaan sebenar. Jika kita mahu sistem yang mantap, kita perlu sumbangkan idea, bukan hanya cakap kosong. Okay? Boleh? Terbaik!

Venue: Sultan Idris Forestry Education Centre (SISFEC), Puchong, Selangor, Malaysia.
Date: 8th - 10th April 2013
Participants: Clubs leaders and committee of Faculty of Educational Studies, UPM
iGossip Rizal, Rizal SadimanAll courses in one frame. I enjoyed this program to the fullest because the experience and the people that I met are awesome. One word won't be enough to describe because for me, everything that happened throughout the 3 days were to be appreciated and cherished.

The Blue Lagoon. This lagoon is magnificent! However, the legend about this place is amazing or rather scary? The water is blue it is very cool! You can't simply jump into the water because of some reasons that I can't mention here. You should go and dig deeper about the stories. Seriously worth it to listen to.
iGossip by Rizal, Rizal SadimanThe main attraction of this program, PAINTBALL or as we might call it WAR GAME. The rational behind this activity is to actually foster the leadership qualities among the leaders and be smart in planning and strategize the moves or steps that we take. Personally, I learned a lot from this game for instances, believe in your ability, trust your leader (Thank you Zaf - the one in red shirt) and have faith in your team members. My team, the Cicak won this game! Yeahhha!

Bobo the Terminator in action. He killed all the opponents in less than 2 minutes during the first game leaving the Kepompong group wondering where they did wrong. However, the rest of the groups seemed to understand the main strategy of his group, thus aiming the barrel at him for the rest of the game. It was like "once you kill Bobo, your mission is accomplished". He was awesome, wild  and outrageous out there.

--> iBirthday: Amir Arsyad 1 Tahun!

Remember my blog post a year ago? Click here. Amir Arsyad is now 1 year old. He is cute, handsome, good looking, gorgeous, smart, funny and active  little boy. He always makes me smile and I really love playing with his cheeks. So soft and that dimple has the power to melt people...grrr..!

--> iPhoto: Photo shoot For Teacher's Day 2013

The photo shoot was done at Block I, Faculty of Educational Studies, Universiti Putra Malaysia. One of these photos will be chosen to be featured in one of the local newspaper, specially for Teacher's Day edition. Which newspaper is that? That's the secret that you'll have to wait.
We forced ourselves to laugh because she insisted us to be more natural and she wanted to see more laughters. I think we did great this time around.
Some of the props are quite cliche but we couldn't think of any other suitable props to portray university life. Do you think this photo shows great life of students?
I laughed so hard that I had brain freeze. How was that even possible? Yeayy, it was probably because we did shooting in the middle of the day. It was 12 p.m and the sun shined bright like a diamond.
Another fake laughter that looks real somehow. Don't you think so? However, this photo is a little bit off since the space on Alaina's side was quite big. And my expression was like "Girlll.....!"
The girl in Pink, Hema Sandragesan stole the spotlight of the day. I really love this photo because it looks the most natural among all. I hope this photo will be chosen...Aminn.
Thanks to Azham, Hema, Emily, Alaina, Me (Rizal) and Sidqi (photographer) for the lovely photos that we managed to shoot out of sudden. Love it. Love it. Love it. I hope Izham Alias will come again ad give some comments about these photos. Will he? We'll see.

Before I forget, if you are given a chance to pick the theme for the Teacher's Day of this year, what would it be? I would go for "Creative teachers make the world go round". Ya ya, cliche. So, how about you? What would you go for?

--> iClimb Broga Hill, Malaysia

It's Friday! I climbed Broga Hill last Wednesday. It was boring but the sceneries are beautiful, or should I say majestic? Yeahhhh! I like climbing, trekking, hiking and stuffs a lot. Perhaps because I am used to these kinds of stuffs which are more challenging, so I did not really enjoy the easy way. However, it was a nice experience. Allow me to feed you with the pictures that I've taken.

At the first station. There are 4 sections before you can reach the top. I didn't snap the photo of everybody who was there but I could tell you that there was thousand who were climbing that day. Some of them came earlier around 6 or 7 to catch the sunrise.

Aihhhhh...you can reach the top estimately around 45 minutes to an hour..depends on your speed and the weather of that day. It was raining when I reached the top so we had a little trouble going down....But it was fun.

See....it was quite dark by 9.00 a.m on that Wednesday. I felt like I'm in the music video of Blown Away, Carrie Underwood. I was standing on the rock at the second station.

Something that I don't like or hate for that matter was, people ate at the stations...Obvious they were hungry because I could see and smell Nasi Lemak, Roti Canai and Roti Gardenia. It was okay for me me (I do understand that they were in a Hunger Games competition) but things got dirty when they decide to throw their leftovers be it the foods, polystyrenes, plastics bags and a few other things. 

Didn't they see the notices 'Go Green' all over the place? Aren't they have manners? These are the irresponsible people who always complain that 'Malaysia is dirty'. They are the main subjects for this thing to happen and yet they point fingers on all of us as 'Malaysians'. What the...!

I won't write much this time because this entry contains a lot of pictures. Or should I write some comments? We'll see. Be careful of what you may see.

The entrance...4/5! Nice!
Who were there? Me, Arifah, Azham, Rina, Alaina, Amirul, Izzati, Kamal & Aliff.
The menu. Look at the price. OMG! I'll give comment on that later.
There are so many choices and it was hard for us to decide on what to swallow muahaha. Oh ya, those girls, they aren't what you think lol.
What Arifah had? Spaghetti Carbonara. "Super creamy", that's what she said. 

Chicken chop. RM19.90. Quite expensive right?
Well presented and well put together ABC. 95% for the presentation.
Nyonya Fried Rice. Hurmm..which part of it speaks the name? Where is the Chinese element?
Temasik Fried Rice. Hurmm...sounds Singaporean but I don't know...does it look like one?
Naili's Special Fried Rice. Super nice sambal. Me loike!

This is the interesting part of the entry and the place. The PLACE. Its huge and the ambience is relaxing..no kidding! And there are a lot of sections...like a theme park. It is uniquely designed. Feels like in a super expensive restaurant.

Lets count how many sections they have.

7, 8 and 9. Where else can you find a treehouse in a restaurant? Do enlighten me...do inform me...this is amazingly unique. But I don't think you can eat in the treehouse....or perhaps, you could ask for  permission.
My comments:

The price. The price is actually quite expensive...One of us said, "Nampkanya makan nasi putih jelah kita..." If they could reduce the price, they will get more customers I guess...eh wait, who am I to give them suggestions and whatnot? Oh ya, I'm a customer and a customer is always right. Duhhh.

The taste. As you may know, I love going to Murni. You can search on my previous entries. I went there a lot. The taste and the portion are slightly better and more. Don't let me brag about the price.

The restaurant. Seriously, it is beautiful and well decorated. Massive thanks to Rina and Aliff who came out with the idea to come here even though we had price issue for a moment...lol. If you go there, please try every section and feel the different ambience it has to offer. You won't regret it...I promise.
